Your mission
We are looking for a
Senior Optical Engineer who is passionate about
precision optics, laser systems, and
state-of-the-art technology. You will play a key role in
designing, building, and
maintaining the
optical infrastructure that powers our
quantum processors.
Work closely with the quantum engineer teams to design, assemble, and align complex free-space and fiber-based optical systems for trapping and manipulating neutral atoms.
- Analyze and make recommendations on optical designs to balance competing requirements such as performance, tolerance, and manufacturability
- Collaborate on the development of custom optical components and integrated optomechanical systems
- Design optomechanical assemblies and implement strategies for alignment, stability, and modularity
- Participate in the automation and monitoring of optical subsystems to support the continuous operation of the system
- Troubleshoot complex optical issues and contribute to the development of diagnostic tools
- Document optical designs, alignment procedures, and test protocols; contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement processes
